Volunteer management, volunteer retention and more fun

Here’s your weekly idea on:

VOLUNTEER RETENTION AND MORE FUN

In the past weeks I’ve mentioned ideas on adding some fun to the workplace and how important that can be.

volunteer management stress

Now what if you are an overworked, underpaid and stressed out volunteer manager? Yes I can see you nodding. How do you add this important task to your role and put more fun into the workplace for your volunteers and others?

The answer is YOU DON’T DO IT ALL!

This is a great example of not trying to do it all and including others who can often do it better than you.

Consider assigning a ‘happiness barometer team’. Their role is to monitor everyone’s morale and to keep looking for fun ways to ensure it remains high. What a wonderful job! If you have caring, outgoing volunteers who need a change of roles, this might just be the perfect role for them.

Go on ask them! See what they say.
