Ideas on Volunteer Management, Volunteer Recruitment and Volunteer Recognition
Hi Everyone
Here’s another idea for you on:
VOLUNTEERING BARRIERS AND FORMS
Last post I talked about forms being barriers to volunteering. If you missed the idea you can read it on my previous blog post.
I’ve now received lots of emails from subscribers explaining how important these forms are in their own volunteer selection process. Here’s part of an email from Helen (name changed):
“We have a selection form with lots of questions that prospective volunteers have to answer. This form helps us decide if people are suitable to then become volunteers”.
DO THE BEST FORM FILLERS WIN?

Great Idea Helen! But I have two questions to consider. When we use forms as our only selection process are we just selecting those people that are better at filling out the forms?
Are we creating barriers for potential volunteers who aren’t good at filling out forms?
Now because this is a quick read tip I’ll leave you to ponder these two questions. And next week I’ll give you a very interesting way to find out whether you are only choosing the best FORM FILLERS as your volunteers.
