THE SAMPLING TECHNIQUE IN VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT

When recruiting new customers, many businesses use a technique called sampling – giving customers a sample of their goods and services for free. It works very well for capturing new customers.

So let’s take this idea and consider it when recruiting volunteers and in a volunteer recruitment campaign. It can be very powerful and effective.

Why not invite people to come in and ‘sample’ volunteering for just a few hours of their time. There’s no obligation, but if they enjoy the experience, they may well decide to come back for more! This is a very interesting idea to consider in your role in volunteer management.
