Volunteer management, volunteer recruitment and volunteer recognition ideas…
Hi Everyone,
We’re going to be doing things a little differently for awhile with the weekly tips. We’re going to be focusing on YOU rather than your volunteers.
GETTING MORE DONE IN MUCH, MUCH LESS TIME
Why? Well so many of you have asked me at my training programs, how you can get much more done without just working harder and becoming stressed out. People are becoming worried about really burning themselves out.
YOUR ONE-DAY POWERFULLY PRODUCTIVE PROGRAM
So with my team, we’ve designed a fantastic one-day POWERFULLY PRODUCTIVE PROGRAM to share with you the best strategies and techniques to get more done, in less time, with less effort and less stress.
Yes it is true and it can be done! You can read all the details at the link below… http://www.teamconsultants.info/productivity.html
A QUICK TIP ON YOUR ‘TO BE READ’ PILE
But because everyone can’t join us for the program in selected OZ locations, I’ll be sharing with you some quick tips from the program. So here we go…
CAN YOU SEE YOUR ‘TO BE READ’ PILE
Have a look around your office or work station. Do you have a visible pile of ‘to be read’ papers? These are articles, reports, etc that you have put aside with the intention of reading them when you get around to it. Usually the pile just keeps growing and you feel guilty every time you look at it because you haven’t got around to it.
TAKING CONTROL OF THE PILE
So here’s what to do! Take 30 minutes and go through the pile, scanning the documents quickly. Be ruthless and throw out anything more than 4 months old. The truth is if you haven’t looked at it within 4 months it really is not that important to now take up your time.
OUT OF SIGHT IT OUT OF GUILT
Now with a much smaller pile left, do not leave it where you can see it. Looking at the pile everyday only makes it a psychological burden and causes you unnecessary guilt and stress. So put it all in a box and put it out of sight.
THEN ANOTHER 4 MONTHS LATER
You can keep adding to your pile in the box and then repeat the process again in 4 months. Ultimately you will find that you will only read the most important documents, continually get rid of a lot and not be stressed looking at the ‘to be read’ pile everyday. So give it a go!
Cheers

P.S. Please forward this email and share these ideas with your work colleagues and volunteers. I’m sure they too would like to get more done, with less effort and less stress….
