Volunteer Management Adopting New Ideas

Volunteer management, volunteer recognition and volunteer recruitment ideas.

Hi Everyone,

Here’s another quick tip for you this week, on the powerful way to use ideas now and into the future.

Improving your own volunteer recruitment, volunteer retention and volunteer recognition success doesn’t have to mean major innovation or wholesale change.

Making small changes on a regular basis can be just as effective, rather than just wholesale changes. This is very important because it means also not losing what is already working and still working on improvement.

ADOPT AN IDEA POLICY

Adopt a ‘new idea’ policy. Ask each paid employee and volunteer to suggest just one idea to improve how your organization recruits or retains volunteers.

YOU COULD BE VERY SURPRISED

Rather than coming up with new ideas and strategies all by yourself, don’t be afraid to ask others. You can use this strategy in dealing with any issues and you will be surprised how many ideas other people can give you when you only ask them.

WANT EVEN MORE IDEAS LIKE THIS ONE?

This is just one of the 501 Ideas adapted from the book Count Me In! 501 Ideas on Recruiting Volunteers. You can get your copy of this book on Volunteer Recruitment.

Enjoy,
