Volunteer management, volunteer recruitment and also volunteer recognition ideas…
For those in volunteer management, here’s a quick tip for you on making new volunteers feel special and important and also understand more about them.

Actually you can use this for any of your volunteers. I’ve talked about using quotes before as volunteer recognition gifts but here’s another way to use quotes.
VOLUNTEERING QUOTES FOR YOUR VOLUNTEERS
Have a large number of inspirational volunteering quotes. Then ask your new volunteers and also your current volunteers to choose a quote that represents how they feel about volunteering right now.
What they choose is a wonderful insight for you about them.
Then present them with that quote on a laminated card or as a magnet that is their volunteering inspiration
for the year. Whenever they read their chosen quote it will always continue to inspire them…
You can spend your time gathering quotes and producing different magnets or…
You can get hundreds of quotes from our book Beyond Just Words: 502 Inspirational Quotes for Those Who Serve!
You can use our packets of 25 different volunteer quote magnets available at the link below…

Either way your volunteers will always feel inspired by their chosen quote.

P.S. A wonderful quote from the Volunteer Quote Book
Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves – James Barrie

An inexpensive give is a packet of seeds with a small card attached. Big things come from small beginings!!
I have made up little cardboard boxes, punched a flower design in the front and backed the ‘flower’ with a small square of foil.
Under the lid I have written a small Christmas wish. I have dropped six wrapped sweets in the box as a treat. Each box works out at about 1c a box, that is with the sweets.
I have also designed a bookmark with all 2010 meeting dates printed on the front and a personal message on the back. I then laminated them, these work out less than 2c a piece.
