Volunteer Management and More on Temp Volunteers

Volunteer management, volunteer recruitment and volunteer recognition thoughts for you…

Hi All,

HERE’S SOME MORE ON TEMP VOLUNTEERS

In the previous email I spoke about what I call ‘temp’ volunteers.  These volunteers come in to relieve regular volunteers so they can take a break from their volunteer work.

LYNDA FROM CANADA AND A GREAT IDEA

Lynda has sent in another example of ‘temp’ volunteers.  She explains…

“You can develop a Youth Volunteer program for the summer months. If your year round volunteers work in pairs it allows year round volunteers a break and they take turns taking holidays and the youth fill the holiday spot.

It’s a real win….year round volunteers have a guilt free break and youth get to learn and experience volunteering and they accumulate hours for resumes and secondary school requirements”.

Thanks Lynda a great idea and thanks for sharing.  If you use ‘temp’ volunteers we’d be delighted to read your thoughts – just click on comments below and add your ideas.
