Great volunteer management, volunteer recognition and volunteer recruitment quick tips for you!
Hi All,
Here’s how Linnea has added to a great idea on using quotes for volunteer recognition and smart marketing and publicity…
Thanks Linnea for sharing this!

Dear Dr. Esmond,
The quote theme was used at our last recognition luncheon, and each of us told why we chose those quotes. My favorites are Mother Theresa’s “We all cannot do great things, but we can do small things with great love”, and Ghandi’s “Be the change you want to see in the world”.
On our bulletin board in our office lobby, we have all of our volunteers’ pictures with their quotes beside them, for all to see, and be reminded of the volunteers’ importance in our patients’ lives.
Great Idea!
Regards, Linnea

Hi Judy,
Thanks for continuing to send this information – there is always something inspiring in the information.
Sometime ago now I purchased the inspirational sayings from you! At the time you asked for some feedback on the use of these.
Whilst I loved the sayings and could just sit and read them I needed to work out how I was going to best use them with our volunteers.
I have chosen to use them in our newsletter which announces our monthly support meeting. In each newsletter I try to use a quote relevant to some specific achievement for that month.
It has contributed to making the newsletters much more personal.
Sincere thanks.

Hi Judy,
Many thanks for your ongoing support; my approach to attract volunteers is word of mouth and attractive incentives i.e. workshop, conferences, and training according to area of interest to empower and professionally develop.
This also enables them to commit towards volunteering.

Hi Judy,
Also, I have recently recruited a volunteer who was interested to undertake counselling training. At this stage she is exploring potential opportunities to fit in her time with her studies and assignments.
